Anyhow, I recently (recently being a day ago :) started watching this show, Lie to Me, (thanks Zhe Xian! x) where there is this group of people in a private firm, they specialise in reading facial expressions and body languages, to tell whether a person is lying or telling the truth or is a manipulator or is about to attack someone. It's pretty interesting actually, to focus on telltale signs of what a person is feeling.
It would really be tiring though.
The main lady, I can almost feel her ignoring her husbands lying ways, although she is so good at detecting all these movements and expressions from other people.
The main guy, well, he just refrains himself from letting people know that he knows...at many times. Like when his daughter lied to him on the phone, he just let it pass.
Colleagues knowing when you are telling the truth, or not, and vice versa, and that they actually are mentioning that you're lying. I mean, come on...seriously? Well I OBVIOUSLY didn't know that I was lying, duh!
It's a pretty exhausting thing I suppose.
IMAGINE this: you look at a person and you'll know from a smirk, or a half-second frown, or the pursing of the lips, what that person is feeling. A twitch in the shoulder, a step backwards, the movement of a thumb; you see all these and instinctly and instantly, know.
Imagine.
Oh goodness, I'm really caught in this show.
