This is the link to the pictures of Lost in Bermuda. Hahaha it was soo fun, and exhausting!

It was absolutely fun mainly because we (Fook Hoy, Kai Ru, Kin Kit, Kok Shien, Mei Ling, Seng Keat, Siang Yee, Siew Mee, Wee Vien, Wen Kai, and I) really put in a lot of effort for this haunted maze, and it resulted with a great response from the students in Tropicana. And so, we got to provide one of the most fun parts of the Hari Keusahawanan on 9 Aug 2008! Besides, it's pretty interesting to see the students' different attitudes towards the haunted maze - some terrified, some happy, some grumpy, haha whatever.

The work that we put in to designing the whole Physics Lab took about 2 days, and we took it apart in less than 2 hours. But it's good to breathe fresh air again, as the lab was thoroughly sealed with newspaper to ensure that it was dark, very ddaaarkkk, which resulted in a very stuffy and warm haunted maze! No air-cons installed : (

The jobs were roughly as follows
  • Permission - to request for the usage of the lab from several teachers, to bargain the conditions for it, to convince that we are capable and responsible enough to maintain the conditions of the lab
  • Lightings (or rather, Darkings! lol) - to paste and seal most of the windows and doors with old newspapers, to test the darkness of the lab, to make sure the black curtains were covering the windows
  • Arrangement of the stools - to gather all the stools from all the labs, first and ground floor, to arrange the stools to form the maze, to tie them together tightly to make sure they would not tumble down
  • Safety - to make sure the edges of the lab tables were padded with newspepers, to prevent from scaring our customers too much so that they don't run and fall down
  • Logistics - to record what was needed, to ask for permission to use a skeleton and a huge eye model, to record the number of stools per lab
  • Make up - to create a sense of reality, to suit the roles of the ghosts
  • Decorating - to tie strings across the lab, to staple the decorations, to make them look real, spooky and creepy, to estimate the length of the decoration needed, to add barriers on the tables
  • Background music - to search for scary audios, to put together and to burn the audio files into a CD, to enhance the situation of the haunted maze
  • Ghosts - to be flexible enough to climb up and down, to strategize, to scare and to have fun!
  • Ghost cashier - to collect the moolah, to give our customers their numbers to wait for their turn
  • Ghost guide - to explain what the people need to do, to provide them with one torchlight
  • Ghost drinks coordinator - to ask about the experience, to provide the people with drinks to soothe their parched throats
  • Cleaning up - to tear down all the newspapers, to untie the stools, to stack the stools, to throw the rubbish, to wipe the tables, to remove make up etc
  • And definitely not forgetting, counting of cash - to have an account of the total moolah collected, and the total profit earned!

The exit

Artist at work!

The ghosts! Boo..! (and i was actually wearing my baju kurung skirt before this to add length so that i could move around the lab easier. besides, it adds to the costume ;D)

I'm gonna miss this event. Good job everyone!
